When our most important relationship is strong, it can be a powerful source of healing, safety, and meaning. Conversely, when our relationship with our significant other is stuck in a pattern of anger and conflict, it can be a source of distress, insecurity, and hopelessness. I am passionate about helping the couples I work with to restore their hope, connections, and intimacy. In this work, I use the Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) model, with its foundation in attachment theory, to help couples reduce conflict, resolve underlying emotional patterns, and communicate their needs. It is through this new awareness and communication that couples can strengthen their emotional bonds.
In my work with individual adolescents and adults, I draw from psychodynamic, family systems, mindfulness, and cognitive behavioral modalities to provide help for each client's unique needs. Within the context of a warm, safe, therapeutic relationship, I help my clients to find meaning and purpose in their lives, to unlock their unique creative potentials, and strengthen their relationships.
I am a licensed psychologist in private practice in Montclair, NJ. I enjoy working with a broad range of individuals, couples, and families. My clients experience a variety of challenges including: depression, anxiety, difficulties in intimate relationships, family conflict, identity and self-esteem issues, life-stage adjustments, trauma, and grief/loss.
