Debra Rosenberg, LCSW
My practice framework is integrative and flexible, depending on what brings clients to therapy, the needs of each individual, and their specific goals. I borrow from various models of psychotherapy including psychodynamic, gestalt, humanistic and Emotionally Focused Therapy.
In my work with couples an EFT model is applied. This model is based on Attachment Theory, which provides an understanding of how to help clients build stronger and more supportive relational bonds. I create a safe space, maintain a balance between careful listening and interaction, and remain mindful that the relationship between therapist and client is essential in establishing a trusting bond.
My study and practice of yoga and eastern philosophy are both assets in helping me to be present focused and acutely attentive to my clients’ needs.
With over 30 years of clinical experience I have worked in many clinical settings. These include psychiatric in patient, out patient, substance abuse rehabilitation, hospital emergency room of an inner city medical center and private practice.
I am currently licensed in the states of Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Florida. I maintain a Board Certified Diplomate in Clinical Social Work which reflects the highest level of clinical practice in the profession.
